Our mission involves providing a safe and fun environment where your child can enjoy many different recreational physical activities, including games, and indoor or outdoor sports. Our aim is to let kids enjoy supervised structured activities and sports, but also allow them the freedom to choose supervised unstructured play as well. All activities will abide by the guidelines described in the “Physical activity guidelines for after school programs in Nova Scotia”, published by the Heart and Stroke Foundation and funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada and Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness.

At Parents and Children Together in Dartmouth, we offer fun and educational programs about infant massage, parenting, physical activity, discipline, self-esteem, playtime and much more. We feature drop-in programs where children and parents can socialize. Dads are never excluded-on Saturdays we have a special play time dedicated to dads and their kids. Parents and Children Together provides workshops for new parents in Dartmouth. Our New Parents’ Group allows them to speak with other parents and learn tips on handling their new role. If you have gently used items, bring them with you on your next visit and we’ll add them to our Community Trading Cupboard-where parents trade items their kids have outgrown for things they currently need. Geared to help families, expectant parents, caregivers and kids, our charitable organization is focused on your well-being. Please see our website for more information on our programs and workshops.
We offer physical rehabilitation by The Anat Baniel Method (ABM). ABM offers a groundbreaking approach to harnessing the power of brain plasticity, which relies upon movement and awareness as the main tools to develop, enhance, or restore functional abilities. Unlike many rehabilitation interventions that attempt to bring change directly to specific joints, muscle groups, or bones, the Anat Baniel Method shifts the focus away from the “problem areas” to where the solutions lie – the brain – and uses movement as a language, a means of providing the brain with the information it needs to guide the body and mind to higher levels of functioning and coordination.
Our aim is to provide a clean and safe environment that children can enjoy and being parents oursevles, we completely understand the importance of this. Therefore, whilst the children are having FUN and burning off some of their energy in our playrooms, parents can relax in the knowledge that our equipment is cleaned and checked regularly. We are also committed to making continued improvements to the center and hope to continually add new FUN and exciting activities for the kids.
