yoyomama The Motherhood Initiative for Research and Community Involvement (MIRCI) is the newly launched feminist scholarly and activist organization on mothering-motherhood, developed from the former Association for Research on Mothering at York University (1998-2010). The initiative houses the Journal of the Motherhood Initiative (formerly The Journal of the Association for Research on Mothering), Mother Outlaws , The International Mothers and Mothering Network (formerly IMN) , Young Mothers and Empowerment Forum , The Motherhood Studies Forum and is partnered with Demeter Press .

Community Services & Administrative Offices
Working with the community to provide services and support for abused women & their children, and to provide opportunities to end violence against women.
Services include 24 hour emergency shelter, 24 hour crisis line and safe supportive affordable short term housing. Community services include individual counselling, support groups, and transitional support counselling. Services for children and youth include counselling and support groups.
We also operate Vicky's Values Gently Used store at 50 Mary St. W. LIndsay. We sell gently used clothing for the whole family and accessories. The House and Home department offers items such as kitchenware, bedding, decor and small appliances. All funds raised go toward providing services and support for abused women and their children.
Donations can be dropped off during store hours Mon - Sat 10 - 4:00 pm
We also accept textile donations (items stained or ripped) for recycling.
YWCA PH exists to support the right of all women & their families to live free from violence, poverty and oppression as they build their desired futures.
