The Winnipeg Winter Club is a private, member-owned club that offers a one-of-a-kind combination of sports and amenities in a 100,000+ square foot facility that can be found nowhere else in Winnipeg. Our membership includes individuals and families of all ages and from all walks of life, who enjoy and appreciate the social interaction, recreation and lifelong friendships that are found, and encouraged, at the Winnipeg Winter Club.
The foundation of our club is our recreation facilities and fitness programs. we offer some of them most sought after sports all under one roof, including Tennis, Badminton, Squash, ice sports, swimming and fitness facilities. Full use of all of our facilities, when not reserved for programming, is included in membership - there are no additional court fees.
In July 1993 I was appointed to be a Province of Manitoba Marriage Commissioner. Since that time I have officiated at more than 1,600 weddings. Becoming a marriage commissioner was a perfect fit for me. In January 2014, I became a certified funeral celebrant would be another perfect fit for me.
I retired from my government career with Manitoba Health in January 2015. This has given me more time to focus on my true calling — performing wedding ceremonies and officiating at funerals and celebrations of life.
I am caring, friendly, open and a great listener. My friends and colleagues have praised my warm sense of humour, calm demeanour, thoughtfulness, and patience. And I really love what I do.
I hope to share with you my experience, compassion and professionalism as a Marriage Commissioner or Funeral Celebrant.
