Adult Learning Centres have been delivering local literacy and upgrading services in Bruce and Grey Counties since 1983. There are Adult Learning Centres in Wiarton, Walkerton, Markdale, Saugeen Shores, Owen Sound and Collingwood. These sites support many locations within the local area. There are thirty distinct locations and/or delivery models (small group, large group, one-to-one) offered.
The South Grey Bruce Youth Literacy Council is a community-based organization that assists school-aged children and youth (6-18), and supports their families, as the students seek to improve basic reading, writing, speaking and math skills and participate in literacy-oriented practical and cultural activities, in order to enjoy full participation as citizens in their community through the benefits of literacy.
