Canadian Raw Greasy Wool
CCWG is Carleton Places best kept secret. Almost 3 million lbs of sheep wool arrive each year for grading which is then baled and sold to domestic and global markets. Wool producers, who are also shareholders benefit through our Shareholder Wool Shipper Loyalty Reward Program, become a shareholder today. For over 70 years customers have been visiting this large, limestone building to see how sheeps wool is handled, starting with the wool grading operations where you can purchase fleeces from our Premium Fleece Division. Also in the building you will find the Real Wool Shop which specializes in ladies & mens fashions & accessories, sheepskin, wool products, wool bedding and knitting supplies. The CCWG Livestock Supplies & Equestrian Centre offers animal feed and health products, fencing, feeders, pet supplies, tack and western clothing. Drop by for a visit, call ahead for tours.
