It is a blend of fairy tale, farce, melodrama, musical theatre, slapstick and vaudeville comedy. Trouble in Pantoland is special in that it combines several beloved fairy tale characters in one story (The Evil Queen, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Aladdin, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty) with Panto favorites like Bert Butterfingers, Widow Twanky, a sassy, back-talking magic mirror, Harry the Potter, reptiles, witches, wizardry and more...
The Theatre was named after one of the English-speaking world's best known humorists, Stephen Leacock (1869-1944), whose amusing home-spun stories about small-town Ontario endeared him to readers throughout the world. His gravesite is located at St. George's Anglican Church on Hedge Road in Sutton. The campaign to build the Stephen Leacock Theatre was spearheaded by the late Whipper Billy Watson, who was also a life-long resident of Georgina. This beautiful building, located at 130 Gwendolyn Drive in Keswick, houses both the Theatre and Club 55 for seniors.
Lots of options for the kids to have fun, in a safe environment. Seating for eating outside of the movie, before & after. Kids love the arcade. Great seating & sound within the theatre itself. Clean washrooms. Courteous staff. It would be nice to have an indoor play-gym, climbing walls, a foam/ball pit, or a climbing maze. Something for all day entertainment for all ages of kids, but especially the youth & teenagers.Read more
