Before Len's Mill Stores, there was Norfolk Knitters - a manufacturer of children's clothing in Port Dover, Ontario. Len Menary took over the business from the original 5 owners in 1970, and opened a small outlet store to accompany it. In 1974 heavy industry came to Port Dover, and Norfolk Knitters was unable to remain competitive - but at the urging of his customers, Len focused his attention on the retail business.

We print sewing patterns on really big paper, so you don't have to tape them together! We use roll paper 36" wide, so we can print any page length. The paper is the same weight as home printer paper, 20lb bond. So there's no more tissue to rip, unless you want to trace out a copy! Since 1986 The Quilt Place has been THE PLACE to purchase ALL your quilting supplies. There are 2000 bolts of quality quilting cottons, featuring 1930's, civil war, landscape and solid Kona cottons. A large selection of printed panels including crib quilt panels is also available. Ready made quilts are for sale and custom quilt orders are welcomed. Quilting tools, including a large variety of stencils, books and patterns are available. We are always available to answer questions and help with any quilt project.
