Christien's restaurant was a very fun experience. The food and service were both better then expected for the volume of customers there on a friday night (may 25). We made reservation and got exactly what we asked for. Service was prompt and startes made it the table less then 15 minutes after ordering. Everyones food was well cooked and brought out all at the same time.

We have come every year in December from Hamilton to Simcoe to see the Christmas lights. We stop at the Barrel Restaurant first, and it is a highlight of our trip: excellent food, excellent atmosphere. There is a very large menu, so I know people can order what they want and sometimes get something different from what they want. Suffice to say that I find the Penne Capri on par with meals served in Italy, and my husband and in-laws refuse to order anything other than the lasagna because they enjoy it so much every time. I just moved here from NJ and am a chef. I was looking for a quality butcher to use when I get catering parties and events. My Grandma directed me to Townsend Butchers and I see why. Dry Aged, Organic, Free Range, all of these words are thrown all over these meats. They are quite tasty and not over priced. TRY THIS BUTCHER!

July 22 had an 86 th birthday dinner. I only now saw the bill I was having a problem with the card machine. Our server was the best I have ever been fortunate enough to meet. Her name was Christina. We loved her. Here is my big problem. I did not put the correct tip on the bill. I feel terrible. She deserved so much more. Please tell her I will write a poem for her but that doesn’t make up for my error. She is the best. ???

Quick and friendly service each time that you walk in. Large variety of pre-cut meats as well as deli and ssub making service. Also stock a good selection of local cheeses. One thing that sets them apart is being able to call in and order a cut (like fillet) to your exact liking and it is ready when you get there.

We moved to Paris a year ago and this is our favorite restaurant!!! I had a surprise party for my husband and the staff were amazing!!! Everyone that came to the restaurant for the party is still raving about the food, service and atmosphere and the party was in August!!! We love this restaurant!!!!
