Irene Deleenheer (RCSW, MSW, BSW) is an EMDRIA certified EMDR Therapist and EMDR Consultant with additional specialized training in EMDR. She uses ‘The Light Bar’, and other EMDR related tools to enhance the clients’ progress in conjunction with Mind-Body Attunement. H. Jane Wakefield is a psychologist, practicing in the Vernon area for over 40 years. For the past 25 years I have specialized in the treatment of trauma survivors including those with complex intergenerational trauma, complex trauma, and those who suffered child abuse of all kinds. While I no longer treat children, my knowledge of child development as well as transactional analysis, hypnotherapy, dissociative disorders and of all the new trauma techniques (some of which I developed, and some of which I pioneered in the province) means that I bring a huge amount of information and clinical expertise to my work. I am trained in all the so-called letter therapies or trauma techniques including EMDR, TFT, EFT, EdxTM, OEI, VK/D, TAT, and MPTAT, and I have access to a neurofeedback therapist. I do limited work with couples, with those with depression and anxiety, and addictions. I believe that people have within them the capacity to heal & my job is to help unlock this.
