At the Village Clinic, we practice naturopathic medicine. Naturopathic medicine strives to determine the cause of disease through a complete understanding of an individual's physical, mental and emotional states, and offers a wide variety of treatments. Your first appointment with Dr. Heli McPhie will run for approximately one hour, during which time you will be asked detailed health-related questions.

Dr. Kim was drawn to Naturopathic Medicine because of (1) her philosophy of respect for the patients' innate ability to heal as well as being compassionate for their suffering, (2) integrated approach to treating the patients with truly expansive scope of pratice – nutrition, counseling, manipulation, IV therapies, massage, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, minor surgeries, detoxification, acupuncture, herbal medicine, and now pharmaceutical uses to mention some, and (3) a practice without specialty-boundary where the doctor can treat a patient in all major areas.

Dr. Margret Holland is a clinic supervisor at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine where she supervises 3rd and 4th year naturopathic interns in patient care. She is also the British Columbia consultant for Rexall Pharmacies.Dr. Holland has a special interest in treating chronic pain in patients. This includes patients who have been in motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, scoliosis and physical complaints of the elderly. She has advanced training in specialized acupuncture techniques and the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine.She very much enjoys offering courses to the lay person in order to teach them techniques for self-care. There by empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
