The Kingston Symphony Association exists to produce and promote professional quality programs of instrumental and choral music for the education, enjoyment and enrichment of audiences in the Greater Kingston area. We are dedicated to the support, development and showcasing of Canadian artists and composers.
The AFM has been promoting and protecting professional musicians for over 110 years. Local 518 has been serving Kingston and area musicians since 1920 and continues to be an effective advocate for musicians' rights in the workplace (be that a nightclub, theatre, a symphony stage, in a recording studio, or on tour). The AFM and Local 518 protect the recorded works musicians produce from being exploited, and protect our members live performances by providing several types of benefit programs that help them to build successful careers.
The Peterborough Symphony Orchestra. For over 45 years, a cultural cornerstone of the Peterborough community and a reputation as one of the finest community orchestras in Canada.
I am a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist based in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. My music is based in pop and draws from rock, folk, and jazz. For most of my career, I have been known as a saxophonist.
I has played many genres of music: choirs, guitar rock, funk, rhythm and blues, big band jazz, Latin, classical saxophone, folk, hard-bop, medieval, electroacoustic music, and musical theatre pit orchestras. My career highlights include working for Carnival Cruise Lines and with various tributes to Billy Joel, Elton John, Tina Turner and Bob Seger.
I am continuing to grow, and believe that I have finally found my own style. Using the nylon string guitar as a foundation, I augment live shows with saxophone, flute, and other instruments he plays. I cover a variety of music suitable for easy-listening environments. A recent addition is a drum machine (or live drummer and bassist) for dance sets.
