We offer an engaging, interactive record of Jasper’s fascinating history. Exhibits include the history of the Indigenous & Metis people of the Athabasca Valley; the fur trade-including David Thompson, one of Canada’s foremost explorers; the railway; early mountaineering- including the legend of the Silver Ice Axe & the development of tourism in JNP. Exhibits in our Showcase Gallery are changed regularly & this year we are featuring “Rocky Mountain Wild", featuring Wildlife Artwork from the Jasper area by artist Tammy Taylor, an exhibition on "Vanishing Glaciers" followed by an Art Exhibition called "Rocks Stars! An exhibition through time and space" by artist Sylvie Pinard. Help us continue to tell “Our Jasper Stories” with a donation or a membership.
Admission is by Donation, suggested donation Adults $8, Seniors/Students $7, Families $18. Children under 5 FREE.
The new Galloway Station Museum and Travel Centre is conveniently located in Edson almost exactly between Edmonton and Jasper.This elegant, well-equipped facility is clearly visible and easily accessible from the Yellowhead highway both east and west bound, making it an ideal place to take a break, stretch your legs and relax for a few moments ... or a few hours.
