Discover the life of Blessed Marie-Leonie Paradis, foundress of her Institute, The Little Sisters of the Holy Family. Upon entering Saint Michael’s Basilica-Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Sherbrooke, you will find on the right, the Centre Marie-Leonie Paradis. Its mission is to make known the life of Blessed Marie-Leonie Paradis, foundress, and the story of her Institute, the Little Sisters of the Holy Family. Come and meet us at the reception desk, we will be happy to answer your questions. The museum offers you a “self-guided” tour of the four thematic alcoves that recount the life of Mother Marie-Leonie through objects that belonged to her, photographs and texts. There is also the important relic of Blessed Marie-Leonie in the southern transept where requests and intentions are expressed. VISIT THE FOUR ALCOVES AND THE SHRINE

Founded in 1982 by a group of art lovers, the Museum of Fine Arts Sherbrooke is the keynote speaker at the conservation and promoting the visual arts in the Eastern Townships Eastern Townships. An extraordinary discovery: a crystal mineIn 1989 Gaudry and Pauline Normand founded Mine Crystal and began exploratory mining in Bonsecours, Quebec. The Normands discovered a rich mineral deposit of giant veins containing magnificent quartz crystals. Research indicated that this was the only mining region in Canada able to produce commercial quantities of first-quality quartz crystals.
