There are seven regional libraries in the province. A regional libraryrepresents a group of cities, towns, villagesand rural municipalitiesthat have joined together to deliver library services. Thesemunicipalities create a regional library, operated from a centrallocation.
The Village of Drake serves a community of approximately 250 and is centrally located 125 km east of Saskatoon on Highway 20, just south of Highway 16, and 140 km north of Regina. The nearest larger community is Lanigan (on Highway 16). Although small in numbers, residents of the village are big at heart and it is a great place to call home and raise a family.Drake was founded in 1908 and named after Sir Francis Drake. Many streets are named after Sir Drake and members of his crew, such as: Francis, Howard, Norreys, Hawkins, and Gilbert.
Kelvington is a progressive community located in the North East of the province of Saskatchewan.We are is situated in the heart of some of the finest hunting, fishing and snowmobiling in the province. There is a provincial park and a number of lakes in close proximity to the community.Camping, bird watching, fishing and hunting are all popular in the area.Known as 'Canada's Hockey Factory', Kelvington boasts fine curling and skating rinks and is host to hockey tournaments throughout the year.
