One of the top 50 libraries in the Association of Research Libraries by volumes held, and? the largest library in Kansas, KU Libraries have more than 4.4 million print volumes in their seven campus locations, which see more than 1.6 million visits every year. In 2012, patrons checked out nearly 165,000 items and accessed more than 3.3 million articles online. Come and explore our friendly village and meeting the people of Jansen! Our village is located in central Saskatchewan amidst prairie grain fields, spectacular sunsets and northern lights.
The Village of Drake serves a community of approximately 250 and is centrally located 125 km east of Saskatoon on Highway 20, just south of Highway 16, and 140 km north of Regina. The nearest larger community is Lanigan (on Highway 16). Although small in numbers, residents of the village are big at heart and it is a great place to call home and raise a family.Drake was founded in 1908 and named after Sir Francis Drake. Many streets are named after Sir Drake and members of his crew, such as: Francis, Howard, Norreys, Hawkins, and Gilbert.
