Welcome to the Grey Highlands Public Library! Located in South Grey County, the Grey Highlands Public Library is comprised of three branches in Flesherton, Kimberley and Markdale. It serves the residents of Grey Highlands and contracting municipalities of West Grey, Southgate, and Chatsworth. The Grey Highlands Public Library was formed in 2001 as a result of the amalgamation of the former Townships of Artemesia, Euphrasia and Osprey and the Village of Markdale which is now known as the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
After the realignment of social service delivery by the Province of Ontario in 1997 Wellington County was designated the Consolidated Municipal Services Manager (CMSM) for Wellington County and the City of Guelph. The County has been delivering Income Support and Child Care Programmes on an uninterrupted basis within the City of Guelph and the County of Wellington since 1969.
we now provide access to more than 30 informational e-resources. These include databases for research, health, car repairs, genealogy, literature and children's research and recreation. We also have available e-audio books for you to download to your ipod or MP3 Player. Our programs include children's story time and activities and an ever expanding variety of programs such as Spanish lessons, Book Club, Genealogy research and collection based interest events such as Cooking up a Mystery@ the Library. Our meetings rooms are available for rent to the community for events and activities.
