Quebec City Reading Council's mission is to provide literacy resources and services in English that will educate and empower our learning community. Our programming is organized into two main categories: Adult Literacy Services and Family Literacy Services. We support and encourage parents to develop strong literacy skills in their child’s pre-school years. We offer tutoring for adults seeking assistance with Essential Skills such as reading, writing, mathematics and computer skills. We also offer educational opportunities for English-speaking seniors 50+ in our Lifelong Learning Programme in the Québec City area and participate in/organize a number of community events each year. We recruit and train volunteers to deliver customized literacy services to the population at large.
