I'm not sure what these other people are talking about because I think this place is amazing. They have three locations now, and as a loyal customer, I have visited all of them. Each atmosphere is a little different, the most recent addition at Yonge/Eglinton (Piazzetta #3) is the nicest. More importantly, the food is consistently amazing, not to mention inexpensive. My guests and I have never been disappointed. The pastas are always fresh and the pizzas are always perfectly thin and remind me so much of my trip to Italy. My favourites are the Calamari, Penne Primavera and Arugala Salad. But I also love the funghi pizza (which ALWAYS has lots of mushrooms). My partner loves the grilled salmon and veal chop entrees. Everything I've ordered has always been fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend! Read more

A true Italian Trattoria located on Lansdowne Ave. just below St. Claire Ave. in Toronto. The idea behind the Big Ragu was to provide the neighbourhood with a relaxed venue for eating simple Italian food, cooked extremely well, accompanied by excellent wine, at a great price. At The Big Ragu, we are not particularly into trends and gimmicks. Home-made pasta, slow cooked braises, warm and cold salads, and classical desserts are our specialities.

Click on our weblink to view the video and meet the owners! Toronto was first introduced to New York style pizza when the Pugliese family founded Vesuvio in 1957. Vesuvio has served the West Toronto area since Italian food was a novelty. Their recipes are always original and of the best quality. As the first and oldest pizzeria and spaghetti house in Toronto, they continue to be a family owned establishment and maintain the close attention given to their authentic Italian cuisine.
FINALLY. A place in Toronto that serves awesome Pizza! Fresh Toppings, loaded with taste, perfect cheese, and a great crust. And not greasy! Hands down my favourite and best Pizza parlour in Toronto. The Danforth Pizza house is good, but this is better. If you have ever had pizza in the Windsor-Detroit area, this pizza is made from that same recipe. You'll know as soon as you taste it. If you decide to dine in, the interior is clean, casual, and a classy. Staff is friendly and work hard to ensure you are happy with your meal. The pasta dishes are good too, very fresh, and good sized portions. The prices are standard fare. Read more

This Hellenic marvel makes its name with "loaded-with-flavour" Greek dishes like saganaki, souvlaki and a Greek fries platter that'll set your cheeks to watering. Marinated meats are a Krystos specialty, and the always fresh-cooked, menu spills over with yummy examples of the lamb, beef and free-range chicken versions of the stuff. Special mention for the tangy tzatziki sauce. The décor at this North York resto is clean and modern, highlighted with an abundance of glass, onyx and marble, along with special features like a waterfall, fireplace and a summer patio that calls out for folks to sip Cava Papaiouanni on it. A sensible pricing strategy keeps the entire menu south of $20. A huge take-out area draws repeat business. Krysto's offers take-out, delivery and catering 7 days a week. Reviewed by Broth Don't Lie ....The noodles arrive in a large, shallow bowl with an elegant shape. Arrayed on top of the noodles in orderly rows are the pork, shrimp and a darkly crisp spring roll, along with strips of vinegared carrot and daikon, shredded cucumber, fresh mint leaves and bean sprouts. Nuoc cham sauce arrives on the side in a pretty little star shaped ramekin. The aroma of the grilled pork tantalizes. It has been sliced thin to maximize the crispy charred exterior, while still being pleasantly fatty and tender. The spring roll is perfectly fried and filled with a dense mixture of delicately chopped meat and vegetable. The shrimp has been finely minced and mixed with a good dose of garlic, before being formed around a sugarcane skewer, reminiscent of a sophisticated Pogo..... Read more at pho411 Read more

Fantastic Italian restaurant! The service was excellent and the food matched the service. We had 4 of us and we all really enjoyed our meals. So impressed by both food and service. Complimentary bruschetta was fresh bright well balanced and incredibly yummy. The Alfredo was solid traditional Italian with a beautiful unique undertone I couldn't identify but loved. Enjoyed the entire experience and will be back! Read more

During the '50s when dining out meant Chinese food or steak and lobster, these culinary cultures were cleverly combined in one kitchen. House of Chan is one of a kind and has maintained its popularity all these years. A large bar greets the diner, and comfortable red leather booths line the wall. The center of the room has long tables that can accommodate up to 10. Another room with round tables is available for private parties of up to 45. Décor in both rooms is Chinese, with interesting lantern fixtures. All steaks are USDA Prime and the finest lobster, from our live tank, is from the East coast of Canada. The high quality Cantonese and Szechuan food leads many of our customers to mix, match and share. Back ribs and Butterfly shrimp for starters, while chicken Chow Mein and fried rice with steak or lobster are popular examples. Pick-up and delivery is available. Gift certificates are available and our raw steaks, ribs and chops can be purchased for your cottage and B.B.Q. needs.
I absolutely love this place! Although the atmosphere of this restaurant is rather dark, gloomy, and sketchy, they have one of the best steaks and lobster in town. Usually we order bbq ribs and potato fries for appetizers. These appetizers are usually mediocre. As for the entree we always order the rib eye steak as well as 2lb-4lb lobster. The rib eye steak at House of chan is one of the best steaks I have ever had. The steak at House of Chan melts in your mouth as you eat it. This type of steak should only be eaten if you enjoy the natural taste of steak, and are expecting no additional added flavours. The lobster is usually just as good as the steak. They offer you a rich butter as a dip. I really enjoy this dish as well. Read more
Dundas West gets a funky wine bar with this sweet spot, where sharing is encouraged and the mealtime chumming around is as essential to the experience as the refreshments that accompany it. Daily house-made pasta, family-sized feasts (from a dedicated tasting menu) and a few simply prepared plates of antipasti are the order of the day at this cellar-based Little Italy restaurant, where Nonna's hand in the recipe-making is always close. Online reviewers give top marks for explosively flavourful food prepared with just a few ingredients. A lovely selection of wines is available by the glass, and the 50-seat patio's a treat in the summer.
