Alex H’s roots originally come from “Gourmateque Restaurant” a restaurant opened in 1982 located on St-Hubert Street. It had already built a reputation for its delightful food. With already many years of experience working in some of Montreal’s best restaurants like Grand Motor hotel, Ritz Carlton, Elmridge country club, Royal Embassy, Mother Martin. Alex’s menu is filled with all the same elegant and delicious flavors but at a more affordable price. First open in 1990, the original Alex H located on Monkland Street was family run for 10 years, until 2000, when it moved to Sherbrooke street where it is still found today. The next generation of Alex H was born.
