Marrying old world charm with high tech, Aroma Mediterranean Restaurant offers diners a unique culinary experience. Owner Felipe Gomes has marketed Aroma as a destination eatery in the Forest City, with facilities for social and corporate team building, a private conference room for up to 30 people, as well as a beautiful courtyard and dining room, featuring entertainment on weekends. Aroma's newest addition is an 18th century inspired Adage Wine Cellar. This rustic space houses 100's of bottles of wine - stored in the floor, wine barrels and antique pieces from Middle Eastern cultures, "where the wine culture started." This is an educational as well as culinary experience, as vintages from every wine producing nation are featured. Aroma's Mediterranean menu features specialties from all over that region: the south of France, Greece, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
The mansion which houses Villa Cornelia was built in 1892 by Alfred M. Smart, a prominent businessman and President of Ontario Loan and Debenture. The house ranks among London's finest examples of Queen Anne architecture. It was meticulously restored to its original beauty and splendour in 1987-1988. In 1988 the house was designated as an architectural heritage property. Villa Cornelia is a place to relax, to reflect upon our past, to appreciate the gracious elegance of Victorian architecture, and to enjoy the delights of fine continental cuisine.
Absolutely fantastic! Perfect place to celebrate an anniversary or any romantic occasion. My husband, who is very picky about the food he eats, delighted in an entree of chicken cabarnara, made with fresh hand made pasta. I had the duck confit, which was very tender and delicious. We’ll be back for sure! Such an amazing, decadent experience (not to mention the beautiful, warm decor)!Read more

When La Casa Ristorante first opened its doors on March 10, 1994, proprietor Syl Basacco had already done his homework by studying and copying many of our Mom's recipes from back home in Ceprano, Italy. In fact it used to be quite the treat when La Casa featured our Mom's home-made lasagna as the daily special. Some of these recipes are still on our menu today, along with many other delicious dishes our talented chefs have created over the years. Bottom line : you don't last this long unless your food is really good!
My husband and I dined at La Casa on Saturday night. We started with Mussels for appetizer - delicious...I wanted to drink the sauce it was so good. We also shared a Ceasar Salad. The dressing was very nice, perhaps a bit too much garlic (a little too overwhelming). Still tasty though.
I ordered lobster pasta, all I can say is DELICIOUS! So tasty. I brought some home and was looking forward to eating it again the next day for lunch. My husband ordered beef tenderloin. Again, delicious! Tender, perfectly cooked and tasty. The waiter was very professional and friendly. We had a great time and a fantastic meal. No wonder La Casa is still one of the best restaurant's in London. It's so nice to go out for dinner and receive a great meal. The meals are not pretentious or overpriced (unlike other London restaurants in the downtown area). The food is simply delicious. Thank you for a great night out!Read more
Originally built in 1871 to serve travelers using the Grand Trunk Railway, it now features beautiful woodwork, stained glass, etched windows, and tin ceilings, to complete an old English atmosphere. The menu includes traditional English fare like beer-battered fish with English cut fries served in a variety of ways, or contemporary creations like soy and ginger marinated beef tenderloin, and their award winning roasted tomato and wild mushroom soup, garnished with Stilton, basil pesto and croutons.
The menu is not extensive and there was no overall 'theme' but the food we had was pretty good. They recommended a great wine and the waitress was excellent - both friendly and helpful.
We booked at the last minute and were glad we did. Not a fine dining experience if that is what you want but a comfortable experience. We split a salad and the entree portions were a good size. My husband had a Thai noodle type dish and he really enjoyed it. I had the prime rib which came as I requested. We didn't have dessert but marvelled at a couple of plates that went by.Read more
I would like to love this place, but it's not good value for money. Food isn't flavourful, portions are small.
That said, service is good, and the settings, on the floor of the church or in the Belfry, are beautiful.Read more

As dessert connoisseurs we can say the bitter chocolate hazelnut torte was to die for. The food was great, the decor eclectic (in a good way). The wait staff were so very courteous and helpful - and gave just the right amount of attention.
Dinner at Rundles was a wonderful experience. We will be back...Read more

Mamma Maria's was one of the first high quality restaurants in the area to realize that pizza is more than just a fast food. Everyone of the pizzas from the "Foccaccia" to the "Oceana" are incredible! After you try the 10 featured on the menu you can start to build your own. Mamma Maria's is the very essence of Italian cuisine, you will feel like your meal has been plucked straight from the Italian countryside. The menu has an outstanding variety of dishes to choose from, but one of the endearing features of this menu is the mix of classic and non traditional recipes.
Tucked in the back of the restaurant is a beautiful private dining area perfect for Christmas/office parties or any special occasion. The beautiful patio off the private room overlooks the Thames river and can seat up to 50.
