Kokanee Springs Resort is one of Canada's finest championship 18 hole courses. This graceful track, considered by many to be the flagship of Kootenay golf courses, resides in a magnificent mountain setting on Kootenay Lake. Every hole is framed by spectacular panoramic views of the Kokanee Glacier and surrounding area.
Kokanee Springs Golf Resort is a full service golf facility located in Crawford Bay BC on the east shore of Kootenay Lake. The centre piece of the Resort is our Norman H Woods designed golf course. This 18 hole, par 71 course is a true masterpiece, at its full length the course plays to just over 6,600 yards. You will be treated to stunning views on every hole including the Kokanee Glacier. There are a variety of onsite accommodation options available, our "Moore" and "Noble" lodges consist of 64 well appointed, comfortable rooms overlooking the Kokanee Glacier. We have our "Villas" that provide luxury suites with an outstanding view overlooking the golf course below. The "Cottages" at Kokanee Springs, located course side along the #12 green, continue the theme of luxurious mountain getaways. The "Woods Pumphouse Grill" provides breakfast, lunch and dinner service for our guests. Great food served in a casual and relaxed environment.
The Western Hockey League started with just seven teams based in the provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta in 1966. The WHL now has representation in all four Western Canadian provinces and the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington. With the addition of the Edmonton Oil Kings for the 2007-08 season, the WHL now consists of 22 member Clubs with 17 based in Canadian markets and 5 in the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
Nelson's community golf course since 1920, Granite Pointe features some of the best greens in the Kootenays, and incredible views of Kokanee Glacier, Kootenay Lake and Nelson's orange bridge. The 18 hole championship golf course plays host to numerous fun and competitive tournaments throughout the season, and has a full list of golf amenities, including driving range and putting green, and a fully stocked pro-shop. Nelson is a must see city for visitors to the Kootenays, and Granite Pointe is a must play golf course.
