We have come every year in December from Hamilton to Simcoe to see the Christmas lights. We stop at the Barrel Restaurant first, and it is a highlight of our trip: excellent food, excellent atmosphere. There is a very large menu, so I know people can order what they want and sometimes get something different from what they want. Suffice to say that I find the Penne Capri on par with meals served in Italy, and my husband and in-laws refuse to order anything other than the lasagna because they enjoy it so much every time. July 22 had an 86 th birthday dinner. I only now saw the bill I was having a problem with the card machine. Our server was the best I have ever been fortunate enough to meet. Her name was Christina. We loved her. Here is my big problem. I did not put the correct tip on the bill. I feel terrible. She deserved so much more. Please tell her I will write a poem for her but that doesn’t make up for my error. She is the best. ???
