There's a swimming area by the dock, a play area, and a fire pit for sharing the day's stories. There's also a sandy bottom beach on the east side of the lake. The Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to providing advocacy for its members. As an independent organization, the Chamber is able to work with government bodies on projects to help businesses, and at the same time challenge them on their topics that may be negatively affecting businesses. Our Governmental Affairs committee is largely responsible for monitoring government activity and making recommendations to the Board of Directors for action or informational purposes. Additionally, we receive updates and support from the provincial and national chambers, both of which have significant influence on government leaders.
