When a need arose for boat canvas repair in the Bobcaygeon area in 1980, it was answered in a very simple but effective way, in a laundry room with a domestic sewing machine, replacing zippers and sewing on patches. When a call came to do something a little more ambitious, to replace a full convertible top, undaunted, but completely lacking in skill, equipment and materials, the answer was 'of course we can'. It took a full 2 weeks to complete the job and, for the record, the top is still functional! Today that same top would be completed in roughly 8 hours. We've come a long way. In 1986 we hired our first 2 full time seasonal employees to meet with the demand of the constantly expanding resale and wholesale clientele. We are now able to book work year round and in the height of the boating season our team us 5 members strong.
