Max and Hedi Gossweiler emigrated from Switzerland in 1981.After training as a chef, Max has worked and collected experience in the hotel and restaurant industry. He also worked for a number of years in farming in Switzerland and Canada, including owning a grain farm.After growing up on a diversified dairy farm, Hedi's love for creative art and fashion took her through The College of Arts and Frauenarbeitschule in Switzerland.

Written by Colin Powers on Friday, 19 September 2014Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, meets with the public at the Moose Jaw Armouries on WednesdayToday is the day Royalty comes to Swift Current.Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, will arrive in the city today to wrap up a threeday Royal Tour of Saskatchewan, and the public is encouraged to welcome His Royal Highness this afternoon at the new All Saints Catholic and Ecole Centennial School'As Mayor Schafer said, we can't think of a greater gift for Swift Current's Centennial than the opportunity for our residents to welcome a member of Canada's Royal Family to our city,' said Tim Marcus, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Swift Current.Prince Edward will arrive at the school and meet with the public at around 1:50pm this afternoon, and while the school will be closed to the public, Marcus says a greeting area will be set up for royal watchers outside of the integrated facility.'Vistors are asked to arrive an hour before the event,' he added.

The Hudson Bay Co. only traded for one season, competition from whiskey selling independent traders and the tense situation between Assiniboine and Blackfoot made it unsafe for Cowie to remain. In the spring, Cowie decided to abandon the post. The small detachment at the east end post was to watch over the ever growing number of Sioux who had fled from the Battle of the Little Big Horn.In 1887, the whiskey trading had been curtailed, the Riel Rebellion was over and Sitting Bull had returned home.
