Point'O'Pines Camp was first established in 1956 by Bill and Norma Wreggitt. Roy(Pete) and Karen Wreggitt have been operating the camp since 2004. We're a boat access-only resort, 30 miles east of Fort Frances, ON on Highway 11, then 5 miles north on Pearson's road to The Landing. We are located 2 miles West of The Landing on Red Gut Bay, Rainy Lake. We rent 3 cabins with a sleeping capacity of 23. We are not a 5-star resort, but neither are our prices. Our cabins are clean and comfortable. Point'O'Pines Camp is a great spot for family reunions or friends getting together. Fishing is only part of the fun. You'll enjoy hiking through the pines, swimming from a gently sloping sandy beach, spending some time in the game room, and much more! Open 24/7 from May to the end of October!
Welcome to the official Sunset Country Travel Association's guide to Northwestern Ontario towns. Many visitors flock to Northern Ontario each year for a variety of reasons: the fantastic trophy fishing for walleye, bass, northern pike, muskie, brook trout and lake trout, the opportunity to venture into remote wilderness flyin outpost lakes by floatplane, successful fall hunting trips, or a week of relaxing with your kids at a lakefront cottage. Since the Sunset Country Region has over 100,000 lakes and rivers, our water sports and activities are phenomenal.
