A delicious Cowichan destination - an apple orchard, craft cider house, small batch distillery, and eatery. Learn about the production of cider and spirits through a tour of the orchard and cellar, and then step up to the bar for a guided tasting of our ciders and spirits. In our eatery, enjoy local cuisine, a large patio overlooking our orchard, and apple cider hand-crafted just steps away. Shop for local artisan items in the farm store. Experience glamping with a stay in one of our yurts.
The Roost Farm Centre is home to a unique bakery, garden Market and gift shop. The Roost is located on Highland House Farm, a 10 acre hobby farm located at the corner of McTavish and East Saanich Roads, in North Saanich BC. The bakery serves up farm fresh breakfast, hearty soups and sandwiches, salads, quiche, breads, pies and other sweet treats. We also serve thin crust pizza from our wood fired pizza oven! We are one of the only places in Canada that grows and mills our own wheat on site for use in our bread and baked goods. Our garden market features locally grown poultry, bison, duck, produce and locally made cheeses.
I have been to the Roost for lunch many times. It's just like a picnic. Their sandwiches are terrific, the bread is fresh, the soup is delicious and homemade. Read more

Our family usually goes across the street for Christmas dinner but this year they were closed so we decided to try Haro. We were not disappointed in fact this will be the new family tradition . The meal was classic with a sophisticated twist and the portions were extremely generous . The service was lovely and the kitchen staff were calm and professional from our vantage point . I have no hesitation about recommending this restaurant to family friends and clients . What a delight ! Read more
