Le fournil is an absolute hidden gem. An authentic European-style bakery with all the comforts of home. Their croissants are melt in your mouth, and I cannot stop raving about their carrot cake! Reasonable prices and friendly staff; I send everyone that I know to Le fournil for lattés and delicious, freshly baked snacks.

We are in Banff at least 3 times and year and we always make a stop into the bakery. They have awesome bread but also serve a brisk lunch/snack business. My favorite treat is their vegetarian Foccacia. It is freshly baked to be ready for 11:30 am and they also have a meat version. Ic is baked in a huge commercial baking tray and each serving is cut from the whole. They have small tables and chairs set outside and that is a good thing because it is always busy.
