Founded In 1946, The Castlegar And District Chamber Of Commerce Is A Private Non-Profit Organization. It Relies Heavily On Volunteers In Order To Accomplish Its Objectives. The Chamber Is In Existence To Take Whatever Position And Action Is Required For Business And The Community To Expand Along Lines That Will Enhance The Quality Of Life In The Community. Come celebrate the start of another horse season at the Nelson & District Riding Club.Thursday, May 2nd at 5pm is the Spring Clean Up and Grounds Opening BBQ. You do not have to be a member to help out and have a free dinner! Just infonelsonridingclub.com to let us know you're coming so we can buy enough food for everyone.We will also hold a brief club meeting at the grounds following dinner. Bring shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows if you have them. This usually takes only an hour or two. at most, with enough volunteers – and then there will be a BBQ supplied by the NDRC. Many hands make light work! If you can't make the clean up date and want to help out, there are always opportunities. the exec and we can point you at a much needed task that suits your abilities!Don't forget the chance to win fabulous prizes at each monthly meeting. see you there!
