About Denise: Since my youth, I have pursued a career in art and later in the restoration of paintings. My studies in one of Florence Italy's finest Art Institutes, the Palazzo Spinelli, gave me a leading edge in my knowledge and skills through the restoration of Renaissance paintings and frescos. Prior to my studies in Italy, I was employed in the area of conservation with the Glenbow Museum. I apprenticed with a restoration expert and later developed my own business in Calgary, Alberta. My educational background, includes studies at the Alberta College of Art and the University of Calgary. Overall, I have gained over 20 years of experience in the restoration field. Since relocating to Vancouver, I have worked on various projects with fellow conservators, the Vancouver Museum and with the Vancouver Art Gallery. I belong to several organizations including The Pacific Conservation Group, The Canadian Association for Conservation and The Dundarave Business Association.
