Maria`s is definately my favorite diner around. The food is really good whether you`re going for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I especially like the fish! The potato pancakes are a nice treat as well. OH, and they have a wide selection of pies! For breakfast I love the hash!

I found the view incredible, Boblo Island is such a neat place for a restaurant. The food wasn't spectacular but of course the menu is small and it was everything I expected of a Marina-type restaurant. The waitresses were HOT and very friendly. I would say it's a great place to get some beers and wings with the guys. The view and live entertainment was a plus... did I mention a hot staff?

We did take-out, again, but as usual, it was amazing. Everyone was stuffed and we had leftovers for the next day. Everything is obviously prepared with care, just like one of my other favourite restaurant.
Keep up the great work!!!! I promise one day we will dine in instead of always getting take-out.

Usually go to the Downtown Windsor location. Happened upon the LaSalle Front rd location. Just as good here - piping hot halibut in a lite crispy batter - fresh cut fries. Can't beat Tuesdays only $7.99.
My husband chose the healthier baked halibut with steamed veggies and a side of rice - a little pricier but he enjoyed too! We'll be back!

It was a simple question that turned into a complex research project. In February the Marsh Historical Collection once again displayed its collection of Valentine cards from the 1920s. Included in the exhibit was a copy of a flyer from the Amherstburg Echo, January 15, 1926, which advertised 'Chateau La Danse, the new dance hall and cafeteria built by George Sellars at Malden Centre.' One of our visitors upon seeing the flyer asked, 'Where at Malden Centre was that?' Well, that did it! Now that our curiosity was piqued there was nothing left to do but start digging. What we found was both historically and genealogically significant.In 1902 Amos E. Wood moved his family from Kent County to a farm on Lot 34, 4th Concession of Malden. The Wood children were at that time as follows: Joseph, age 17; Reginald, 15; Harry, 13; Guy, 11; Willie, 2; and Lydia Jane, 1. Four more children were born in Malden: Charles, Mary, Ponty and Robert.
