Having been a successful stylist and owner of more than 16 salon/spas, the creator of the Ottawa Academy noticed the need for Advanced Education in the Beauty field. Never recommend this place. Did not get the color or highlights I paid for. Looked like a hot mess when I left. Highlights were not left in long enough. Turned out brassy. Now I have to pay again to fix their mess. Crappy school.
Excellent customer service and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking on getting a haircut at a very reasonable price!
I did my Professional Hairstyling Diploma at the Westend Academy and I am so glad I went with this school. A lot of hands-on practicals helped me become an expert in my field. The instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. I love their new location. I definitely recommend it.
Did advanced esthetics diploma program at Westend Academy and I am extremely happy with them. I would like to thank the school for the knowledge and experience I have gained, it has helped me so much. I didnt face any hurdles finding a job. I recommend Westend Academy to anyone!
Very happy with my choice! I have been looking for the right beauty school for over 6 months. I rented a very busy hairdressing salon after finishing my hairdressing diploma here and am extremely happy with the work Im doing. I would like to thank the Westend Academy for the help and the support they have provided. I recommend this Academy very much!
I took my Mani/Pedi certificate courses at this academy. From day one it was clear that my instructor was not only very passionate about cosmetology but also about teaching. She was amazing with the course content as well as with the students, very well organised, professional and approachable. She was very patient with all the questions that we had. Overall, the courses were very enjoyable and whole staff/management worked hard to bring the best out of their students.
i had such a great experience here at the Westend Academy! I highly recommend this place, they have excellent customer service and the salon services too are very result oriented. They are fantastic with haircut and styling too. A big thanks to the whole team for the amazing work they do!
If there was a higher rating possible I would choose it. These guys are amazing at what they do, they put you at ease and the results on your face and skin speak for themselves. I am a regular here for a haircut, mani/pedi, facial, eyebrows, etc. Its a peace of mind to be in safe hands with them. Cheers!
Avoid this place like the plague! Take one step inside, and you will see what an unprofessional place this is! The faded, stained waiting chairs at the front should be a fair indication.
It appears that this school is the armpit of Eastern Ontario beauty schools, with more than its share of surly students, who treat walk-in customers (from the public) with rudeness (also note that several students prefer working only with women’s hair).
