John Peters was a cabinetmaker by trade. He has owned his own company for many years making custom cabinets and furniture. In the early '90s he saw a void in the marketplace for a variety of cabinet handles and hardware such as hinges, door slides, shelf clips, and the small things that can make a big difference in the look of a kitchen or bathroom. So, in 1991 he opened Handles & More on Edmonton Trail.
Handles & More eventually outgrew their space and, in 2014, moved to a bigger location on 41st Avenue. The small specialty store soon became one of the largest suppliers of cabinet hardware in Alberta.
