The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, also known as the Planetarium, has been British Columbia’s premier space science attraction since its doors opened in 1968. The men's club is open to any men interested in joining. Our membership is open to the public. There is also a companion Ladies Club for interested women. Our members are both working and retired and come from all over Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Our membership is a mixture of young and middle age adults, seniors and retirees. Our weekend events are designed so that everyone can compete, have fun and enjoy the camaraderie. Unlike the private and semi-private golf clubs, there is no huge golf course membership fee.
The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, the first of its kind outside of China, is an authentic representation of an age - old garden tradition which reached its peak in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The Garden is characteristic of the private spaces within a Ming scholar's residence. With its asymmetrical arrangement of rocks and plants, its winding paths and corridors, and the vistas that overlook its courtyards, the Garden emulates the rhythms of nature. Ming dynasty scholars, the elite of their time, lived and worked in their garden, sharing these enchanting spaces with friends and family of all ages. Like any home, a scholar's garden was filled with energy, but also offered quiet moments for contemplation.
Since 1977 the Vancouver Lookout has been one of the most iconic and recognizable landmarks in the city.
