The Carriage House in New London, PEI, is an authentic carriage house from the early 20th-century. For many years, the old barn-wood building with its big red sliding doors and metal roof stood next to a nearby church. There, it provided shelter for horses and carriages while the parishioners attended services. The building was moved to its present site several decades ago. Now, it has found a new use as a rustic meeting, reception and special event space operating from June through September. The Carriage House sits on the crest of a wooded hill overlooking the Southwest River. The location offers an impressive view of New London Bay and the Cavendish dunes on the island’s north shore.
