I love beer and I love a long list of options recited to me by memory... there seem to be so many negative reviews about the Bier Markt but... it's a pub, really, and a spacious, respectable one with Great Beer at that. I was at the Esplanade location last Friday afternoon around 4pm with my husband and some friends and we had a fantastic time drinking pints of Steigl, Erdinger weissbrau, Jupiler, and sharing fondue--wish there was a ski hill nearby. I've been here often, mainly for the beer, but last Friday the atmosphere was great, really quiet and just right for a late lunch. I wish the decor was a little cozier inside.Read more

Really cool atmosphere inside. Trendy.
The sausages are a little over priced, but they are good quality. Not extremely fatty and oily as you'd expect.

I decided to give this place a chance. I had an amazing experience. The waitress/bartender Victoria if I’m not mistaken gave great recommendations. Victoria was professional, friendly, understanding and always had a smile on her face willing to assist. She came often to check up to make sure the food and everything was going well, and I really appreciated that. The cove fried rice was definitely a hit. I recommend this place to everyone, request to speak to Victoria, you won’t be disappointed. Read more
The Musket got it's name because the owner Helmut Enser used to collect old muskets. Some of them are still on display in the Dining room to look at. But that was some time ago. Today the Musket is known in and around Toronto for its excellent and authentic German cuisine. If you like Wiener Schnitzel or want to try the delicious and delightfully tender Barbecue Pork Hox - the Musket has it all. But wait, there's more: Remember the Rouladen you had on your last trip to Germany? Well, the family-run Musket offers you all that and more. And what would be an German restaurant without real German Beer . Don't worry - here you'll find the most popular German Beers, such as Warsteiner, Becks, Hacker Pschorr as well as the famous Weissbier on draft! Or if you prefer wine - ask us for our delicious Austrian red or white wines.
