Wastewise is a registered charity located and serving mainly the Halton Hills area although the centre has a strong following throughout the Halton region.
Operating from a 10,000sq ft warehouse since 1991, this community based initiative offers education programs and recycling opportunities and generates revenue through the sale of used goods.
On the surface Wastewise is a place where people socialize, browse, tinker and go the extra distance 'to do their part'. However as a common link to all sectors, Wastewise is much more. The centre is exemplary of sustainable community economic development and front end approaches to managing waste.
