I have been offering counselling services to children and youth in B.C. for 20 years. I worked for a time on the mainland, but returned home to the Island 8 years ago with my husband to raise our son. I am very comfortable working with this population, and I feel fortunate that I can connect with kids and teens the way I do, conventionally or in a way that makes sense to them. I believe that people hold many stories about themselves, but when they seek me out, it is usually because they are focused on stories about their problems.
