Since January 2016, Cynthia Nichol, Bertrand Leblanc and Jean-François Depelteau have been the proud owners of Vélodidacte, a bike shop located near the bike path on rue Brébeuf in Montreal. Bertrand was born a mechanic and has always had a passion for cycling. He worked as a mechanic at Vélodidacte for 10 years before the torch was passed onto him. “We had been talking about buying the shop for a few years, the former owner wanted to take a step back,” he says.
Jean-François, on the other hand, is a great athlete. “I crossed the United States on a bike, from Montreal to San Francisco,” he says. After that, he became a mechanic at Vélodidacte.
