We had my birthday celebration at Oreks Souvlaki Greek Restaurant at 911 Richmond Rd. this evening. The food, the atmosphere and the reception were wonderful! I highly recommend the meal I had...Pork Athena....and the service and hospitality were amazing too.
Loved this restaurant and will definitely return.

i cam here with my family in hopes of having a nice meal again like we always do. i have been a long time customer of theos and it used to be my favourite restaurant. the servers were great and friendly and the cook was amazing. but i came back here with my family a few days ago and it's like it was a totally different restaurant. the food spanakopita wasn't crispy, the greek salad didn't have homemade dressing, the moussaka was hard and the potatoes inside weren't cooked enough, and the chicken souvlaki was bland. worst of all, the amazing garlic bread that used to be to die for is replaced with gross plain old buns. half way through our meal, we found out that it was under new management and Mo the chef didn't even work there anymore! we were really dissapointed. worst of all, we didn't even get our favourite server Anna. instead, we got a grumpy rude server Cima that we later faound out was the wife of the owner. horrible experience. will not ever come here again!
Simply the best in town. The food is always fresh and delicious. Very tasty. The chicken melts in your mouth and their bread is delicious. I have loved everthing I have ever ordered on their menu.
How can you go wrong when the food is made with fresh ingredients. Just fabulous.
For us the best greek restaurant in Ottawa, we go every month. Fresh tasty food, reasonable prices, nice service and atmosphere. We go there for years and were never be disappointed

Outstanding food and service. If i had a question about what was in what i was answered promptly. I have been there many times and i have never had a single complaint.
I've eaten at Theo's a dozen times in four years and I've ordered takeout from them countless times more - it's the family standby and we usually order enough appetizers to last us three days! I have never been disappointed. I recommend their taramasalata, melitzanosalata, saganaki, beeftekia, their wonderful Greek salad dressing and warm Greek pita, their lamb souvlaki and exohiko (lamb in filo pastry), chicken corfu and athena, their quails, their delicious Greek potatoes, their galaktoboureko - in fact I recommend just about everything on the menu and I've tried most of them!
Their ambience is functional rather than glitzy but I would still give them a 9 for "other amenities" except that parking is limited and this is just occasionally a problem on a few really busy nights at this location. So I give them an 8. But this is rare, and it's not something they can do much about anyway except move somewhere else, and I'm not recommending that - they might move further away from me!
Theo's is by far the best Greek restaurant in the city. Indeed it is one of the best restaurants in the city - period - and it's certainly my favourite restaurant, even though it is very unpretentious and won't impress any corporate clients! That's not their bag - just delivering consistently good food is what they do and they do it really well. It's just the comfortable place I keep on going back to regularly after splurging in other places from time to time. I know I can rely on them.
I am at a loss to understand the single person who complained on this site that Greek food is too spicy. It isn't. It's very down-to-earth cooking, and herbs rather than spices are used - particularly oregano which is the prevalent Greek herb. Most of the serving staff are female and I hardly ever see the manager, and when I have he has never had "bloodshot eyes". Penny the manageress is a lot more in evidence and she is very welcoming and accommodating to her customers. I can only assume that this reviewer was actually talking about a different restaurant which just happens to have the same name. Not a single statement on that review rings any bells with a long-time habitué of Theo's like me.
We go to Thoe's on special occasions and for a break from cooking. We have young children and they split the order for them and present it on two plates. No problems with..I want my Own.
The staff are welcoming and make you feel at home.
Theos is the best Greek restaurant in Ottawa..we have been going there for atleast 10 years.The owner and his sister always make you feel special.And we love there tzaziki that we even get it on takeout.I have never had bad service or bad food always GREAT!
We always go to Theo's for special occasions because it's guaranteed to be amazing every time. The food is always perfect, service is extremely friendly, and it's a great atmosphere. Try the pikilia, which is a tasting plate of 4 different appetizers. Desserts are mostly homemade and excellent.
Theos's has the best calamari in town! The service is always fantastic, and the owners are great. The greek music in the background is a nice touch, and the atmostphere is mid-upscale without being to pretentious.
