Punjab Star was founded in 2002 with a simple belief – to create world-class media products and services. Our mission stems from the belief that consumer experience is critical to our success. The Punjab Star team strives to create multiple relationships with the Punjabi community in Ontario. To do that, Punjab Star commanders and strategists wear multiple hats, think disruption, and reinvent themselves every week. Punjab Star keeps anticipating their reader's preferences through meticulous work, continuous innovation, and consistency in quality. At Punjab Star, ideas rarely die, because we vehemently believe in the freedom to disagree. We believe in keeping the floodgates of ideation open all the time. We are not subsumed by it; we generously give every idea enough gestation-time even if it means forking out time from our daily work.
We have started our mission of providing quality reporting to Europe by bringing out 'RANJIT WEEKLY (Euro Edition)' from our base in the UK. We will always endeavor to provide the up to date news, views, information & entertainment.
On the first Saturday of May 1997, the flagship edition of the Voice Media Group rolled off the press. Thus began a proud new era for the South Asian community in the GTA. Slated to be the largest ethnic community in Canada in the near future, the South Asian community estimated to be over 750,000 in the GTA, comprises immigrants from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal or those of Indian origin who migrated to Canada via Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, Guyana and the Gulf, all sharing a common cultural thread. And it's them that the The Voice Media Group – GTA's leading provider of information and entertainment news and views – targets, through a strategically planned multimedia presence featuring bi-weekly broadsheet English editions, a weekly Punjabi broadsheet edition, an up-to-the-minute community web portal and a state-of-the-art top-notch South Asian radio channel.
