THE HALKIRK HOTEL WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1910 AND HAS OPERATED CONTINUALLY AS A HOTEL EVEN THROUGH THE PROHIBITION DUE TO SOME LOOP HOLES IN THE PROHIBITION ACT. THE HOTEL IS THE LAST REMAINING ONE OF ITS STYLE IN THE PROVINCE AND IS AMONG THE OLDEST. DONT LET THE AGE OF THE HOTEL FOOL YOU THOUGH.
