Very friendly! Owners greeted us with genuine smiles. The food is prepared fresh while you watch. I've tried all the Saigon Sub sandwiches and they are yummy. I especially love the carrots (pickled maybe?) on the sandwiches. Small and intimate. No seating for large groups, the establishment is take out, but the food is dining worthy.

Absolutely wonderful home-cooked Vietnamese food. The service is great and a real home style atmosphere, nothing fancy just really great food and happy helpful owners. Henry (owner) is the nicest person - very helpful with the menu and so pleased that everyone is enjoying their cooking - we discovered this place a few weeks ago and now go every Friday night - love it!

I've been to Vietnamese Restaurants in Richmond, Vancouver, Langley, Surrey.. pretty much all over the Lower Mainland, and nothing compares to Vi-La.
The food is great; they have a variety of appetizers, soups, noodle bowls and rice dishes. The location is easy to find too with a lot of parking. The new location is awesome!

You are so tempted to have many good things and unfortunately many of those really good things are deep fried. We came around 1130 am and waited for about 30 minutes which is not bad as this place is very, very popular. The chive pancake I will call it is very nice.
