Dr. Baraliya's love of pets started at a very young age when he knew he wanted to become a veterinarian. Many years later in 1996, he graduated with his veterinary degree and has been helping to heal his furry friends ever since. For several years he worked in Richmond Hill and surrounding Toronto areas before opening the doors of Eagles Landing Animal Hospital. Having pets of his own allows him to understand how easily a pet becomes a special member of the family. He also recognizes that you need a veterinarian who will listen, and someone you can trust when making important medical decisions. He honors the Veterinarian's Oath and treats each patient with kindness and compassion. His favorite part of the job is being an advocate for the creatures that cannot speak for themselves.Dr. Baraliya has a special interest in preventive medicine, pain relief management, and surgery. He believes that awareness and prevention are the first steps to ensuring a long and happy life for his patients. He also feels that since pets are often unable to tell us when it hurts, it is his role to ensure he can provide as much comfort as possible. Pain control is tailored to each surgical patient and Dr. Baraliya is only one of a select few veterinarians in the area who performs laser surgery. When not at the hospital he keeps current with the latest in the field of veterinary medicine and regularly attends continuing education courses. He also treasures the opportunity to spend time with his family.Eagles Landing Animal Hospital is a veterinary medical and surgical facility situated in Maple (Vaughan), Ontario. This location allows us to welcome the families in the surrounding neighbourhoods of Thornhill, Richmond Hill and the local Vaughan area. Our facility was designed to make our clients feel at home and our patients at ease. With services to meet the expectations of busy pet owners and equipment to reflect modern technological advances, Eagles Landing Animal Hospital proudly opened in April 2010. The dream to become a veterinarian and then to someday have his own practice has now become a reality for Dr. Baraliya.
I took my cat to Eagles Landing Animal Hospital a few months ago. Unfortunately, my cat has had various problems since I rescued her. The number one reason why she was seeing Dr. Baraliya was because she seemed to have allergies. The doctor reccomended a few tests, and changed her diet, however, he did not force any unnecessary tests on her. Dr. Baraliya is a very honest veterinarian. He also has a beautiful and well equipped veterinary hospital!! I have recommended my family members and friends to Eagles Landing Animal Hospital :) Read more

Veterinarians in Maple Vaughan ON

Whether it’s time for Fido’s annual visit to the veterinary clinic or only the best veterinarian in town will do for finicky Whiskers, finding veterinarian services in your area for the family pet is a daunting task – especially when choosing among the 6,600 practicing veterinarians in Canada.

Tips to finding veterinarians in Maple Vaughan ON

  • Talk to pet owners: Like trying to find a family doctor, the best way to find a veterinarian or a certified animal clinic is to ask around – in this case, ask pet owners in your inner circles about their veterinary needs. Some of the best referrals come from those who have chronically ill pets. Some of the questions you may want to ask pet owners are the following:  How long have you known this veterinarian? How much does your veterinarian charge per visit? What are the costs per treatments and what do they include? Is the staff equipped for emergencies? Compare your notes and you’ll have a good a lead.
  • Hang out in dog parks: Hang out at your local dog park and ask dog owners what they have to say about the veterinarians in their area – chances are you’ll have a better consensus on the different types of veterinarian services you’ll encounter in your neighbourhood.
  • Schedule a visit: Go behind the scenes and get to know a local vet by visiting their facilities. Ask yourself the following: Is the examination room clean and odour free? Is the support staff courteous? In what conditions will your pet be treated?
  • Prepare a list of questions: When you meet a veterinarian for the first time, make sure you explain your pet’s health history. If your pet’s breed or species is particular and needs extra attention, ask the vet which animals they specialise in. You wouldn’t see an eye doctor if your feet were hurting, would you? A quick call to the provincial veterinary medical association can help confirm a vet’s credentials.
  • Veterinary hospital vs. private veterinary clinic: Choosing between the two can come down to a matter of price. You’ll find better prices at an animal hospital but you will not find the same friendly rapport you’ll get from a private veterinary clinic. A Maple Vaughan ON veterinary hospital may also be better equipped to take care of a family pet emergency whereas a private veterinary clinic would hold records of your pet’s entire health history for a more accurate diagnosis.
