With this reinvented Spanish eatery in Toronto’s Greektown, newly returned to its original owner and roots, Toronto gets its first and only truly authentic tapas restaurant. A revised pricing structure returns the idea of fairness to the table full of small dishes that defines this special style of Spanish food presentation. Among the tasty offerings in the reinvented menu, guests will find such classics as tortilla de gambas al ajillo, duck confit, a selection of Spanish cured meat and paella. On Thursday through Saturday, diners’ restaurant experience is enhanced flavourfully with the accompaniment of traditional Spanish flamenco dancers. Tapas at Embrujo hosts two dinner sittings nightly in the company of these passionate entertainers.

This is the third incarnation of the amazingly successful Playa Cabana brand (the original, Playa Cabana, is in the Annex; the second, Playa Cabana Cantina, lights up the Junction), proving Toronto's taste for authentic Mexican vittles endures. The menu at this new Yorkville location features lots of the good stuff from its older siblings, including quesadillas fritas; prawn, fish, chorizo, chicken, veggie, steak, pork and ground beef burritos; and a slew of tasty gluten-free, corn-based taco offerings. But this adaptation extends its all-scratch-made offerings to include more wood-smoked meats than the others. Playa Cabana Hacienda is the largest of the growing chain's physical spaces: three floors, almost 140 seats and two patios.
This place has a great atmosphere. The music wasn't too loud, so casual dining was nice. Our server (we believe his name was Matt, he had an accent) was very knowledgable and wasn't overly trying to upsell constantly. The food was fantastic and tasted great. If you come with multiple people, you can get many different tacos and share between each person. All in all, great place to grab food. Read more

CopaCabana Grilled Brazilian introduces... Copa by Sea. Toronto's Premier All-You-Can-Eat Seafood Restaurant.
This fine seafood restaurant in the heart of Scarborough is a standout for lots of reasons, not the least of which are the grilled salmon, clam chowder and succulent fried calamari that populate its well-curated menu. A great selection of truly tasty oysters and a healthy serving of friendly, well-informed service seal the deal. Malpeque Mondays give you 12 for $12, and mussels go on sale every Wednesday.

High-end, authentic Portuguese cuisine defines this Little Italy treat, where fresh fish and a classy, unpretentious atmosphere are always the catch of the day. The fresh white ricotta-like queijo fresco amuse bouches and warm basket of sliced cornbread with nutty olive oil dip that launch the experience are well appreciated. From there, online reviewers gush about the quality of the seafood here, pausing particularly to wax over the octopus, monkfish and pan-seared skate fish. The wine list has some unique Portuguese selections, and the staff is well versed in their distinctions. Chiado's décor is simple but stylish, with contemporary art lining the walls and minimally adorned tables draped in double linens.
I loved everything about this restaurant! From the valet service at the door, the discreet but highly efficient service, the fresh and delicious seafood and wonderfully light Molotov dessert, and the extensive list of Portuguese wines. The atmosphere is lively and sophisticated. Nothing dull here. Yes, this has got to be the best Portuguese restaurant in Toronto! Would definitely recommend for special occasions or romantic dinners. Prohibition may have left The Junction dry until 2000, but Cantina is here to help the neighbourhood catch up. Our menu is filled with delicious tapas style dishes and we've redesigned and revamped our cocktail list to bring something special to Dundas West and Keele.
I've been here a number of times and I'm never disappointed! Its a great place to bring friends to try something delicious and unique. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I was there on a recent Saturday evening at 5:30 and had to wonder, though, why the hostess felt compelled to inform me that my table was booked at 7:30. It felt rather rude and unwelcoming. I have no control over the efficiency of your kitchen or servers. There must be a better way. A sign? A note on your website? Read more

Fine dining takes happy residence in Brampton with this establishment, one of Canada's largest seafood and steakhouses. More than anything, Louisiana sings for its consistently high-quality service of its namesake dishes: seafood and steak. Enthusiasts gush over the lobster and shrimp linguine and juicy sirloins. There's adventure to be had here, too, with alligator meat and the spiciest jambalaya this side of the bayou. Lots of parking, vast portions and free wifi also recommend this place, which doubles as a sports bar with its various oversized screens. The setting - all dark wood, gleaming beer taps and cloth napkins - has elegance to spare.

One of my favorite restaurants in Barrie. We've been here many times for many special occasions. We always enjoy the food and experience every time we go. Today we tried his brunch menu and it was really good as well. We had the Eggs Benny and Breakfast Poutine, along with a side of the homemade onion and apple sausages. Delicious. Now if all brunch tasted like that I'd eat brunch a lot more often. Read more
