YUM! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the new Etobicoke location last night. Great food, wonderful friendly service, more food than we could finish. Fish and chips can be tricky, and it's not the kind of meal we usually take a chance on, but have found a new favourite. Well done, and we'll be back!

I try to go to The Longest Yard once every week., and I have been since shortly after it opened. The staff and management are friendly and welcoming and the food is decently priced for the portion/quality you get.
It's a 5 minute walk from Islington subway station so if you're planning on drinking, it definitely saves money on cab fare. If you drive, there's quite a bit of parking on Bloor and on Eagle (side street).
They have one of the best burgers I've ever eaten, and the beef is organic. They have other options as well, though the menu isn't fully organic. Every day, they have specials for dinner. Fish and Chips tend to be a special on Friday and Sunday night, and it's really good.
The added bonus for me is that I'm a Baseball fan and The Longest Yard is the only place I go to where even if there's playoff Hockey and Basketball on, at least one TV will have Baseball and I won't be told "Sorry, nobody wants to watch Baseball."
It caters to the family as well as the Sports fans. I was there for the Superbowl and for the Olympic Gold Hockey match. It's not the type of place where people go to get completely drunk, loud, and obnoxious though people are drinking. They also have contests during big events where you can win prizes and even cash!
So two thumbs way up!

I work right near this place and go almost once a week for take-out. however if you eat IN it is quite a value - i bet you don't eat it all and take some home, and the price is fantastic. $10 lunch for a gyro dinner including greek salad and garlic bread.

I have been visiting this restaurant for years; meeting with friends for dinner. The restaurant is very clean, well organized, food is freshly prepared and there is a lot of choice .. The best impr. the service is unbelievable. The best impression leaves the service, last night staff was amazing and the waitress (whose name I don’t know) is one of the main reasons I and my friends visit.

THEN CAME HIGH SCHOOL, WE USED TO WAIT FOR THE STREETCAR INSIDE GEORGES OUT OF THE COLD AND ALWAYS HAD A CHAT WITH GEORGE AND TINA, BEFORE SCHOOL. WE ALWAYS WENT THERE ON THE WEEKENDS. WHEN I WAS 29 A FRIEND AND I WENT THERE DAILY FOR COFFEE AND A CHAT .WHEN I WAS IN MY 30 S I WENT THERE WITH MY UNCLE FOR BREAKFAST. THEY COOK BREAKFAST JUST AS YOU ASK IT BE COOKED .THEIR SERVICE IS EXCELLENT.NOW A DAYS GEORGES SON GEORGE RUNS GEORGE THE GREEK, A FAMILY TRADITION.
