We usually do take outs on weekends but went their for lunch on weekday and thoroughly enjoyed it. It didn't look big buffet but wow had lots of varieties to eat and especially fresh nan and tandoori chicken. Not big on Indian desserts too sweet for me. Food is great we really enjoyed the lunch buffet and service is fast and courteous.

The people who run this restaurant are always so friendly! To top that off, the food is great. I really enjoy their palak paneer especially.
They're also great with accomodating tastes. I like my food spicy, while my other family members are not so keen on it. When I order spice levels all over the map, it's never screwed up. Always perfect for each person.
The flavours are great and I always look forward to a treat here when we have the time.

Not only does your food come fast, but it's been marinating for quite some time. This is how Indian food ( and Pakistani) is actually cooked. If you go to an Indian restaurant and you're waiting for an hour and a half for your dish thinking it's going to be fresh and that's how it's made, you're wrong. Indian food takes HOURS to make. The sauces and spices need time to sink into the meat, and they do exactly that at Tika house.
The service is great, they're always on top of your water and they don't expect you to tip!
People might complain about the atmosphere but the reason why they made the place like that is because in India and Pakistan the best tasting places are done up like Tika house so you can focus on the food instead of the decor. The washrooms are very nice though!
Best Indian place in the city. Don't bother going anywhere else.

We are a family run restaurant since 1973. We want people to be healthy, so that is why we have always used natural ingredients in our food and no dreaded MSG. We even make the roti ourselves, which is a flat unleavened break made from flour that we fill and wrap with tasty curry. But for us not just any flour will do. We used enriched white flour to make the classic Dhalpuri or Partaha roties. We also use other grains like Spelt and Whole Wheat to make our organic roties.
