Agency History Timeline1984 - MPCRC began as a parent led drop-in centre and toy library1998 - Additional funding was received for targeted programs for at-risk families2001 - MPCRC's successful proposal to the Ontario Early Years Challenge fund allowed the agency to open more locations2003 - MPCRC became the lead agency for Ontario Early Years Centres (OEYC) in two ridings - Mississauga South and West2009 - MPCRC became one of three agencies to deliver Learning In Our Neighbourhood (LION) services in Peel2011 - MPCRC assumed responsibility of the Brampton Centre riding for OEYC services2014 - MPCRC became the lead for the Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) programWe continue to seek new partnership opportunities to deliver high quality programs to the families of Mississauga and BramptonWe employ approximately 65 staffIn 2013 there was a total of 82,729 adult visits, and a total of 93,867 child visits - That's an average of 617 client visits per dayWe have 20 OEY
