The Phans are both licensed nail technicians whose family has been in the business for years; each having over nine years of experience in the industry. If their name sounds familiar, you might remember them as the original owners of their previous salon, Crystal Nails, which was opened in 1998 in New Westminister, Coquitlam and Mission, British Columbia. With a strong work ethic and dedication for their trade, they have built an impressive and loyal clientele as the foundation for their business.

Salon Fifty Five was born on November 21, 2008 and is tucked into the Meadow Ridge Shopping Center on the corner of 207th Street and Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge. Our aim is for your hair to be in better condition when you leave the salon than when you arrived. We carry Schwarzkopf colour, with a conditioner base, and an array of other products to enhance the good health of your hair. At Canvas Hair Salon we would like to offer you a wonderful experience each and every time you visit us and provide you with the best quality product and service you can ask for. In consideration for community and all creatures we affect in our daily comings and goings (even those we are not always aware of), we aspire to offset our carbon footprint as well as donate to local charities and foundations which advocate for animals and all Canadians. Our campus has a classroom teacher to student ratio of approximately 1 to 5. Our small class size allows us to adapt to each students individual learning style. Our students graduate with professional skills,with confidence and able to acquire work immediately following graduation. As a Pivot Point Member School we offer Pivot Point's world-famous interactive DVD modular teaching tool. For more than 40 years, Pivot Point's educational program has been tested, refined and proven in approximately 3000 colleges and graduate centres in over 60 countries in 11 different languages. We also offer our students computer salon software training, a must for the new stylist. All of our instructors have up-to-date training and continue to attend upgrading on a yearly basis.
