I lived my early childhood in the traditional native way on our family trap-line on Lake Temagami, hunting, fishing and Trapping. During the winter months I learned about our lifestyle and spiritual ways through the Elders and Medicine People, Storytelling and spiritual teachings were given to me by my Grandfathers, Grandmothers and parents.
Christie Best Pearson Anderson (NOAA) is a Canadian fine artist with a rural Ontario background. Her mediums of choice are watercolour, graphite and coloured pencil as well as oil pastel. Her subject matter is varied – from landscapes, to portraits and figurative, from animals, both domestic and wild, to still life. Christie has had her work exhibited throughout Northeastern Ontario in many solo and group exhibitions and purchased by collectors within Canada, United States and abroad.
